Death of Antoinette Fage - 129th Anniversary

Antoinette Fage, known as Mother Mary of Jesus, was co-foundress of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Assumption in collaboration with Father Etienne Pernet, an Assumptionist priest.

On the occasion of the 129th anniversary of the death of Antoinette Fage co-foundress, in collaboration with Father Etienne Pernet, of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Assumption. Faced with the difficulties of the early days of the Congregation she always kept up her courage by depending on Providence with regard to material matters as well as spiritual and apostolic ones. She reaffirmed this on the 27th of June 1870 after Father Pernet had gone to Metz as a military chaplain: "You say you left me at a very difficult time, in the middle of worries. That’s true enough, but haven’t you entrusted me and all the responsibilities of our little community to Our Lord? Can you believe for a moment that He will abandon me?"
